Woke up this morning to a dark, gloomy, wet, and cool day.
Not my favourite kind of weather, as it's making my bones ache somewhat.
Now that the day has progressed somewhat (I'm at work for the morning), it's still pretty dim, gloomy, wet, and chilly out there. What bizarre weather we're having in the Ottawa valley these days! Not that I'm complaining about the cooler temperatures; the last few days have been much more comfortable for me, but as I've mentioned before on my blog, I'm not a hot weather person.
In the meantime, just sitting here at work on a quick break with a cup of hot Chai tea, and waiting for the tech boys and girls to finish fixing the work computers so I can get back to my job.
Yesterday, I made the financing arrangements for having the ductless air conditioning installed at my house, and have also bought the new stove that I need for the house as well. Good thing I'm not going to GenCon Indy this year, as the finances have been pretty much wiped for the rest of the year, I suspect. Today I'll be visiting the doctor for an appointment to talk about switching to a different drug plan to cover some of the diabetes medications, as I've started a new pill (Trajenta) this week that adds more to the costs on this. So I'll be leaving work around 1:00 pm today for that appointment.
I'm looking forward to tonight's gaming session with the Friday night group. They'll be starting their campaign of the
Atlantis: The Second Age RPG tonight, and this should be a fun campaign to run, even though the actual rulebook isn't out yet. The players have been talking to me a bit about the game all week long, and to be honest, I'm eager to do some prep work on the game late this afternoon before getting to run it tonight.
