Acid Reflux in the Night
Friday morning in the Ottawa valley.
A very cool Friday, as the high is expected to reach 14oC, a drop of about 11-13 degrees from the last week or so. I actually slept with a blanket on the bed last night for the first time in a month or so.
Last night, I did not sleep all that well. I woke up around 2:45 am this morning lying on my side, with terrible acid reflux that had splashed up into my mouth. Lots of burning sensation everywhere. I got up out of bed and took four (4) spoons of Gaviscon, and that helped with both the burning and the acid reflux, but I didn't fall asleep again until around 3:45 or so, and the alarm woke me up at the usual time.
Work this morning is...blah. There's not a lot going on in the office, but this is not unusual as we get closer to the Victoria Day weekend, so I'm not worried about that. And as mentioned yesterday, I've got the huge translation job to do for the next little while, so I'm not lacking work.
In any event, time for a cup of hot peppermint tea. Then back to work.
