I blogged about last night's game this morning, and addressed the Gryba-Eller business.

To be honest, that suicide pass from Raphael Diaz was brutal, and Eller had no chance against the Gryba hit. Whether Gryba gets disciplined by the NHL today still remains to be seen, as I've seen nothing on it so far this morning.

That said, I hope Eller gets well soon. The Canadiens may need him before the series is over, given that I hear Gionta and Pacioretty won't be in the line-up tonight for the Habs.

The lack of "Patches" is more worrying than Gionta. Let's hope it is just minor. :-(

I don't feel like Gryba vs Eller was dirty, btw. It was unfortunate.

Note: at no point RDS blamed Diaz passing for incident. That's why I no longer watch CBC. Hating on the Habs is part of the required résumé do comment on Hockey there.

I hope Pacioretty is all right. He's an interesting and fun player to watch on the ice, and I've got him in the playoff pool! :)

I agree, the Gryba on Eller hit wasn't dirty. Very unfortunate. Do wonder if the NHL will suspend Gryba, though.

I'm not sure what you mean about the CBC stuff, not including Don Cherry. The comment was that the pass made by Diaz to Eller was what's called a "suicide pass". They said it was an accident, but could have been avoided if Diaz hadn't made such a pass. Or have you heard other comments about it?
