Well, if the world is going to end today at 6:21 pm according to the Maya calendar, it might be under a mound/carpet of snow.
I woke up this morning to get ready to go to work, but when I saw the weather outside, I called Donna to tell her that I wasn't going to wreck my back any further in weather like this, and then called the office at 7:00 am and told the boss's answering machine that I was going to be working from home. Fortunately, I'd taken the work laptop home with me yesterday on the off-chance that today's weather forecast was going to be true...which it is.
Here's the view from my house window about eight minutes ago:
And here's the photo of my car at around the same time:
That's enough justification for me to be working from home today. Of course, it'll be nuts trying to unbury the car at some point over the next two days, but I'll worry about that sometime later. Besides, I still have to go out to the mailbox (see the first photo for those) later to check the mail. Assuming Canada Post is crazy enough to deliver in this weather.
Oh, and I'm not sure whether I'll be gaming tonight, but we'll see.
