Sunday's Game Session

Nov 25, 2012 17:42

Ran this afternoon's session of Shadows of Esteren on the Sunday group of players, and it went much better than I expected.

The first couple of hours were spent discussing some of the crap and the other stuff that is seriously wrong with the gaming group, as well as many of the issues surrounding the lack of communication and cooperative aspects of the Sunday players and the issues pertaining to the lack of roleplaying that's done at the table. That's not to say that these issues haven't arisen in other games that the Sunday players have played, but the issues seem to be heightened and more noticeable in Shadows of Esteren because of the style and nature of this roleplaying game.

Once everything was hammered out, play started around 2:45 pm or so, and I got in a really decent game session of Shadows of Esteren and the players got some real surprises in this one, as I shook the campaign up a bit with some expected stuff and some unexpected stuff.

I'll write up everything in a blog entry as soon as I get a chance, but it's going to be a busy week, so I'm not sure when I'll get around to stuff.

In the meantime, hamburgers on the Foreman grill for supper this evening, methinks.
