R.I.P. Michael Dunford (?? - 2012)
Catching up on some news today, and came across this. Some terrible, terrible news for music fans and for those who are fans of the musical group Renaissance.
Michael Dunford of Renaissance Passes Away
This news was quite shocking to me and extremely sad. The writer for the music of many of Renaissance's classic tunes that touched me deep in my soul, I've only seen Renaissance play one gig during their heyday, and now regret more than ever not seeing the band perform this year. What made his music unique was that he was a most uncommon guitarist and composer in that his chosen instrument was not the focus of attention. He wrote for the entire band, and it was simply brilliant and wonderful.
