Of Health, Reading, and RPGs

Friday morning in Ottawa. The last Friday in September. My, how time flies.

Woke up this morning feeling pretty good, though I'm still sleeping somewhat poorly. Yes, my neck and throat area on the left side is still somewhat swollen, but the aches and pains in my feet and back have given way a bit the last couple of days, so this is good and has eased my mood somewhat.

I've spent the week doing some reading as my leisure activity, since there's been nothing new on the boob tube that has attracted my attention. I've managed to read The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling and Destroyer of Worlds by Larry Niven and Edward M. Lerner, and am also reading a book on palaeontology as well as working my way through the Shadows of Esteren Book 1 - Universe rpg game book. Good month of reading, I have to say.

Today being Friday, I shall be running the Broken Rooms rpg once more on my Friday night gaming group. This will be the start of the second scenario for the gaming group, and they're having fun with it, but are chomping at the bit to get back to an actual fantasy roleplaying game. In any event, looking forward to gaming tonight, though I'll be going out to Ottawa's west end to do so, so won't be home until sometime in the early hours of Saturday morning.
