Friday was a day of mixed blessings.
Work at the office was absolutely hectic, to say the least, for reasons that I cannot fathom. It was a good day's work to be sure, but extremely busy and very much a translator's nightmare, with word interpretations high on the list. Lot of time spent trying to figure out context meaning of various phrases and terms, and this makes the job feel less smooth and more choppy and stop-and-start. Still, a good deal of work got done on the current translation job, so that's a good thing. But I felt seriously tired and mentally drained when I got home finally after what seemed to be a very long day.
Friday night, on the other hand, was a very good part of the day. The Friday night gaming group continued their
Primeval RPG campaign last night, and the game went really well. I say "continued" rather than "started" because the Friday night gamers first started the campaign back in March and April and decided that they wanted to continue from where they left off when I ran the game back then. With a couple of minor changes to the characters to reflect the game rules as they stand in the (hopefully final) version, we started off the new adventure. I hadn't blogged about the running of the
Primeval RPG back in March/April because I couldn't do so due to the NDA business at the time (since the game was expected in May at the time), but since I'm running the Primeval RPG Play By e-Mail game now, and can let the rules out of the bag (so to speak), I'll be posting up the original two session reports on the
Primeval RPG campaign to this point before I post up about last night's game session. Suffice to say, the players had a terrific time last night, and commented that they like this version of the rule system compared to that in the DW: AiTaS game better.
And on the subject of the
Primeval RPG Play By e-Mail (PBeM) game, I thought I'd mention that I've still got openings for a few more new players, if anyone wants to play in the game.
