I'd guess I'd better not mention I got my copy a week ago from my FLGS in Hamilton, and that there are two other copies sitting on the shelf...

(Oops...I guess I did!)

Seriously, are you ordering them online direct in order to save money or to get the books earlier? And is this mostly a Cubicle 7 problem, or something you've noticed in general?

No, you'd better not mention it! :)

I tend to order the books in order to get them earlier. Supposedly, when one pre-orders an rpg from a company directly, one gets them about a week or so (sometimes two weeks) before they are distributed to retail outlets.

I don't have a lot of experience with this the last two years with other game companies, but this seems to be a real problem with Cubicle 7 the last year or so. Am not a happy camper. :(

Ouch...

As an aside, I was sorely tempted to order the new hardback version of Masks of Nyalothotep from Chaosium's web-page store as part of their 25% off sale. I'm glad I didn't since a few dozen persons who did so had their credit card stolen and many had to cancel their cards or get their credit card companies involved because of fraudulent charges.
