It's the last day of November. The weather today here in Ottawa has been seasonal for the time of year. It was a somewhat mixed day, with cloudy periods mixed with a few sunny moments, and a bit of rainfall. The temperature hit around 1oC today, with a wind chill that made it feel like -2oC. While my body pain issue continued today, augmented by the cold, damp feeling outside, I have been affected more by the fall that I took on Wednesday (see the separate blog entry on that). My lower left back and butt region are very sore, movement is very painful, and lifting stuff is out of the question. I felt tired and fatigued most of the day, also due in part to the painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications I'm taking.
It took me until mid-afternoon to decide, but I'll be gaming with the Friday night group this evening; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. My lower back and legs are hurting so will definitely need the players to do the heavy lifting for me tonight. The players are looking forward to this evening.
The players will be continuing on with their current case file in the
Rivers of London: The Roleplaying Game RPG this evening. The players are looking forward to playing the game tonight, and while I've not done an awful lot of prep for this evening's session, I'm ready to game. I am looking forward to running the game tonight. Should be a lot of fun, and hopefully a good distraction for me.
In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make myself something nice and hot for supper.
Have a good evening, folks. :)
