While out doing the grocery shopping as per usual on Saturdays today, I went and got both my flu shot and my COVID-19 vaccine shot for the winter at the local pharmacy around 4:30pm.
Anyway, this was my latest, winter COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine (my eighth vaccine shot, including the original two). Aside from the possible side effects of the vaccine that are flu-like in feel, I also run the risk of myocarditis from the vaccine, which I've experienced three times in a row with the last vaccine doses, two of which sent me to the hospital with bad symptoms. Needless to say, I am always somewhat nervous (okay, I admit it, I was terrified) about having the shot - but given my health and immuno-compromised condition, the rewards outweigh the risks.
Anyway, I feel all right so far, though I'm finding myself very sore in the right arm where I had the shot and I'm feeling very tired, almost lethargic. And I have a headache. The tiredness may well be due to my exertions going outside today, as I did a lot of walking out there, and the rest of it (other than the arm soreness) may well be my allergies, which have been very bad so far this year.
At least, that's what I'm telling myself. ::knock on wood::
