Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day.
Today is the day we celebrate our mothers and thank them for everything they've done for us throughout our lives. Those of us who are older have more to be thankful for than the younger folks out there whose mothers have yet to share all the joys and sorrows that their children bring over the course of years.
Sadly, my mother died a little over a year and 2 months ago, so I can no longer celebrate Mother's Day nor see her or talk to her.
Most folks will be giving their mothers a card today, will have flowers being sent to her, or perhaps taking their mom out for supper (with whatever COVID-19 pandemic and other health restrictions still in place guiding your choices). But those are just the physical tokens that we give to our mothers on this day. It's important today to spend some time with your mother today, to cook them a meal or take them out to a restaurant, but above all to share some quality time with your mother.
Make sure you give your mother a call today.
