Sunday Afternoon Gaming Session Cancelled - On Hiatus
Today is Sunday.
I was supposed to game this afternoon with the Sunday players today.
However, that isn't going to happen. More importantly, gaming with the Sunday group is...on hiatus...for an indefinite period. One of my two Sunday players is an IT and networking person, and she has a co-worker who's about to or has already undergone a surgery that will keep him off work for some time. She is in the unenviable position (as I understand it) of having to do the work load of two people, as well as both of their "on call" weekends. What this means essentially is that she's working pretty much every weekend, rather than once every two weekends, for the foreseeable future. There is the possibility that we may be able to play a weekend here or there, depending on whether my players gets some free time (though whether she'll want to game on her spare time with that work schedule) and whether her bosses find someone to ease the work load. Anyway, gaming is off for the day. And for the foreseeable future.
I was quite looking forward to gaming with the Sunday afternoon players this afternoon, as I was going to run the first proper session of the Coriolis - The Third Horizon RPG today, but that's not happening due to the Real Life(tm) circumstances that my two-player group is facing. Sad about this, but such is life. I'm trying to stay optimistic that we'll get a few sessions in over the next months until her co-worker recovers. Just have to look forward to running the game at the next opportunity to do so.
At least I have the Friday night gaming group to play with. ::knock on wood::
