Getting Ready for Sunday Afternoon Gaming

Oct 02, 2022 12:05

It's a relatively cool September day here in the Ottawa valley, with a somewhat cloudy with sunny periods, blustery day in store for the day and a temperature expected to reach 13oC today. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, due to pain and seriously bad nightmares, not to mention the severe nerve pinch in my top neck vertebrae, so am exhausted and hurting quite a bit due to a variety of circumstances. That, and my allergies seem to be bothering me still.

I'll be gaming with the Sunday group today, and am looking forward to it for the most part. We'll still be taking health precautions this afternoon, of course, as everyone wants to game but knows we have to play it safe in this time of COVID-19 and the sixth (or is it the seventh?) wave of the Omicron variant of the virus.

This afternoon, the Sunday gamers will be doing a couple of things. First off, the players will be wrapping up the just finished Atlantis: The Second Age sword & sorcery fantasy rpg by taking care of the end of adventure paperwork and rewarding them their Renown Points for the adventure. And then the players will (hopefully) create their characters and go through some sample combats for the Session 0 experience of the Vaesen - Nordic Horror Roleplaying RPG. Quite looking forward to the game. :)

Time to head upstairs.

Have a good day, folks. :)
