Getting Ready for Friday Night (Board) Gaming
Well, today has been a day of lots of snow. Started last night and dropped close to 15 cms of the white stuff through 3:00pm today. The weather has gone back to being quite cold outside now, and is currently around -15oC.
I spoke to the Friday night gamers earlier in the week, to let them know about the passing of my mother, and everyone was quite sympathetic. After talking to various other folks, I've decided that today and Sunday will be regular gaming days, so... I'll be gaming with the Friday night gaming group this evening; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. As usual, despite the continuing spread of the Omicron variant, the Friday night gamers want to play this evening, but we'll be taking the appropriate health precautions tonight as the group decides on when they get here, as per usual. Everyone wants to game, but knows we have to play it safe in this time of the continuing pandemic. They also feel that gaming this evening will get my thoughts off everything else going on in my life right now.
That said, the decision was made at the last session that we would take a break from roleplaying and the The Troubleshooters RPG this evening, and the Friday night group is going to do some board gaming this evening. Quite looking forward to this. :)
In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make some supper.
