Last of the Snail Mail?

Getting ready to head home from work for the weekend.

Will stop by my mailbox to grab the snail mail for the day. Better treasure that mail, regardless of whether it's bills or other stuff, as with the postal strike/lockout looming on Monday (unless something remarkable changes), it may be the last snail mail for a while.

Wondering what the odds are re: the postal issue.

The odds on the mail continuing past Monday are pretty bad. The two sides are sooooo far apart.

I heard from one of my co-workers and my better half that both sides agreed to a 30 day truce to maintain discussions, so if that pans out we wont see a strike until mid August if they cant get their collective heads out of their asses.

It seems they can't get their act together, unfortunately. One of the sides refused to binding arbitration after the 30-day truce period or some such, so it's looking bad, methinks.
