Friday Morning Thoughts
Friday morning. Almost the start of the weekend.
It's a relatively busy day here at work this morning, but Friday's usually are. The boss is pretty content with how the current translation job is going, though the fact that several members of my translation team are on vacation at the moment has slowed things down somewhat. Doesn't really matter, given the state of the project to begin with.
Since the endocrinologist denied me driving privileges at my appointment back on the 19th of August, I'm still using alternate methods of transportation to get around. Most of my travel is by taxi cab, and there hasn't been much of a problem despite the recent (and current) taxi disruption going on here in Ottawa. I've taken Uber a couple of times, and while I've been pleased with the services offered, I prefer to give my support to the beleaguered, under siege cabbies of the city in this regard. Still, not being able to drive has made my life more...time orientated.
I'll be gaming this evening with the Friday night group, and am looking forward to that. And in the meantime, I'm (re-)reading a certain rpg that I acquired a physical copy of at GenCon, and am loving what I've got planned for the campaigns with this game. :)
