One of the things that I've missed over the last few years, with all the health issues and personal stuff going on, is moderating a play by e-mail game of the
Primeval Roleplaying Game. This lack of being able to do so was due to health issues primarily, but it's also due to the fact that I didn't really feel that I would have time to devote to the game. I'm happy to say that this is no longer the case.
However, I have decided not to run the game as a Play By e-Mail (PBeM) game on Yahoogroups, but am going to run the game as a Play by Post (PbP) game over on
Gamers' Plane, a relatively new site for this kind of stuff. Things are relatively stable and calm, and I'm actually feeling confident about being able to get the on-line game off the ground again, and actually devote the time to running it that I need. As a result, I've started the process again and am hoping that potential players will take a look at the
Primeval RPG and at the game site (noted below), and get excited and and will want to play in the game.
I'm looking for around ten (10) players maximum for the
Primeval: Tales of the Anomalies PbP game, so if you're interested, follow the link provided in this message, and sign up. Membership on the
Gamers' Plane website is required, and Moderator approval to join the actual PbP game is required; signing up for the list implies that you want to play in the game, not just lurk (though the game forums themselves are set up as Public, so anyone can read the posts, just not some of the other neat files related to the PbP game.
Here's the basic recruitment thread over on the Gamers' Plane forums.
PRIMEVAL: Tales of the Anomalies PbP, Players Wanted And here's the actual set of forums for the game.
Primeval: Tales of the Anomalies PbP Assuming you decide to play, once you've signed up, please consider reading through the back-posts of the PRIMEVAL PbP game forum (see above). Also, for those considering playing in the PbP game, please note that owning a copy of the
Primeval RPG is not necessary to play the game, as all the information about the game that is needed will be found on-line, and I'll be helping players without the rulebook create their characters.
If anyone has any questions they would like to ask about playing in the game, please don't hesitate to do so here or in personal e-mail.
Anyway, I hope to see some of the folks reading this blog entry joining the game. There are a limited number of spaces available for players who wish to play in the game, so first come, first served. See you on the other side of the Anomaly! :)
