A Stress-Free Sunday

Dec 28, 2014 10:21

I woke up this morning feeling somewhat rested, but still with a bit of a headache and the pain in the central area of my chest has only diminished somewhat. (This chest pain has been my constant companion since I started insulin, but it seems to vary at times.) I ate a good breakfast of steel cut oats, with some cinnamon, and had some celery, and my usual cup of decaf coffee.

After breakfast, I sat back and did a bit of reading, and finished up Chris Hadfield's An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth, and rather enjoyed the end of the book and his summation of a few things. Haven't a clue what the next book I read will be yet, but I'm leaning towards some Tanith Lee. We'll see what happens.

I don't have any real plans for the rest of the day, as the Sunday group won't be gaming today. This gives me some free time to do a few other things, I guess, though I'm not sure what. I won't be gaming again until the New Year (there's a chance that I might game on the 1st, but we'll see), so that will give me time to catch up on some game notes. Might even get a bit of rest from gaming in terms of writing scenarios this week as well.

In the meantime, I plan to spend the rest of the day relaxing - doing some reading, watch a few DVDs or episodes of stuff on DVD or PVR, and listen to a bit of music. Nothing too intense, nothing too heavy, and nothing stressful.

Because of late, I've been way too stressed out. And stress is not my friend.
