Friday Morning Thoughts

Friday morning.

Another day, another dollar. And the end of the work week.

I'm glad that the work week is at an end, as to be honest, even though my work hours are slightly reduced, the work load is pretty full. The nice thing is that I get off early enough that I can go home and eat lunch, and so I'm getting healthier meals than what I would be having here in the places to eat nearby. Not that I'm eating too badly, but you know what I mean.

As noted yesterday, I went to the NHL hockey game last night between the Ottawa Senators and the New York Islanders with friends, and had a good time. The Sens tribute to Daniel Alfredsson was remarkable and a truly fitting honour, and there's really nothing else for me to say about that. Unfortunately, the Sens lost the game to the New York Islanders 2-1, despite another stand-on-his-head performance by goaltender Craig Anderson. One couldn't help but think that the Sens could have used Daniel Alfredsson in the line-up, and he certainly looked good in the pre-game skate that he took.

In other news, I have my weekly check-in with my diabetes Nurse Educator about how I'm doing on the insulin therapy. I'm looking forward to talking to her about some of the stuff that's been going on with me this past week in regards to the insulin injections, and a few questions that have popped up during the week. So we'll see how that goes.

On the gaming front, I'm scheduled to run a session of the a|state RPG this evening, and am looking forward to that. But we'll see what the weather brings and other factors first.
