Scary stuff but good on them getting you rushed in so that you didn't have time to worry. I don't know how I'd do giving myself needles. I expect that if I had to I'd manage but the first one would probably go far worse than you did!

In retrospect, I'm grateful that they fitted me in so quickly, but the fact that they did is perhaps worrisome as maybe the doctor-- Nah, I'm not going to think that way, and am just going to be positive about this.

As for the needles, it turns out the process is not so bad and the needles that we're using are very, very fine. There doesn't seem to be too much pain, but I'll see how things go. It's not needles in the traditional sense. (Well, they are, but not the kind that are used for like flu injections, frex.) I'm using the SoloSTAR Pen, and it's pretty good so far.

Like I said, staying positive. :)

You don't have a Novopen or similar as an option?
