While I agree with her in a lot of ways, the stuff she's describing here really isn't about Sword & Sorcery so much, as about general fantasy. Most of the tropes listed here outright contradict the genre. Conan doesn't use special weapons, he uses anything that comes to hand, including the bone he's been eating. Vin Diesel's Riddick is a S&S character compared to someone who waxes lyrical about the rare blade. Elric was written to turn S&S tropes on their heads, not as an example of them.
