Footcare and Lunch

Just got home from the Footcare appointment and lunch.

Since I can't drive at the moment with the broken, mangled toe on my right (driving) foot, I took a taxi from the office to the Footcare Clinic. I got there a little bit early, and this turned out to be advantageous since the Footcare Nurse took me a bit earlier than usual. Good thing, too, as she had to be extra careful, so I was there a bit longer than usual. Foot treatment was good, though the right foot felt much worse afterwards. And she told me that the bottom of the toe in question is all dark blue, and that the bruising is spreading up the underside of my foot. Wonderful. *sigh*

I had arranged with Ellie's godmother, Crystal, to come and pick me up. I was taking her out to lunch, and then she'd drop me off at the house. We stopped off first at the bank where I could get some cash out, and also paid off part of my credit card to cover the orders for the Abney Park's Airship Pirates gaming stuff first. From there, it was over to Denny's where we had a good lunch, eating club sandwiches and splitting wedge fries and sides of veggies. I was pretty miserable with the pain in the foot after that, since I didn't have any pain tablets on me, so Crystal dropped me off here at the house.

She told me that she had a couple of other things to do, but would be back this evening to spend the night. I think she's feeling sorry for me at the moment, but to be honest, I'm feeling sorry enough for myself right now.
