Atlantis: Hero's Guide Fiasco
Well, my trouble getting game products for the Atlantis: The Second Age RPG continue...
Back on July 1st, I placed an order for a physical copy of the Atlantis: Hero's Guide with the folks at RPGNow (using the KS special code that I had received). I was billed for said product the same day, but when I checked the status of the order, there had been a problem at the printers with the book, and the order status was "Idle". I got in touch with them, and was informed that the situation was corrected and that a copy of the printed book had been sent out to me on July 3rd.
After a few stop-and-go problems with them on getting answers about why I had not received a shipping notice for the physical book, I waited patiently for the book to come. When a friend of mine got his copy of the book on July 20th after having ordered a copy of it on July 9th, I got in touch with them about the fact that I still hadn't received the book, and was told that I needed to wait until the beginning of August. If I still hadn't received my copy of the book by then, I was told to get in touch with them about it again.
So yesterday, Friday the 8th of August, I got in touch with them again, politely asked them what had happened to my book, and asked them to either send another copy of the book out or to cancel the order (so that I figured then I would re-order the book once more). They immediately got back to me, and said that since the book had not come, it obviously got lost in the mail. They informed me that they were giving me a refund on the book, but that they could not ship another copy of the book out as Atlantis: Hero's Guide is not available any longer as a print book!
So I don't have a copy of the book, which would be really useful for players creating their characters and for GMs creating NPCs and the like, and have no idea of how to get a physical copy or two of the book any longer.
As you can imagine, I'm rather pissed off at this.
