Monday, the civic holiday here in Canada.
To be honest, I'm pretty glad that the long weekend is almost over.
I'm still feeling under the weather (that's the charitable way of putting it), but I felt a little bit better yesterday after switching back to the Reactin anti-allergy medication. I've taken another 24-hour one today, and so far I'm a bit better (or not as bad as I was on Saturday). In the meantime, I've got to figure out what to do for the rest of the day, as all my friends are busy with other stuff, so I'm on my own for the day.
My mom is still in the hospital, and since this has been the long weekend, there is nothing really being done about her condition, other than pumping her full of antibiotics. While she's had the ultrasound to confirm what they think is wrong with her, the MRI still has not been done as most of the folks are off for the long weekend, and the doctor won't perform the endoscopic surgery to remove the (infected) gallstone without them doing the MRI. So that's a stalemate of sorts. Mom and I are hoping that the MRI will be done tomorrow (Tuesday), but we'll have to wait and see.
Going to spend part of the rest of the day reading and doing a bit of laundry as I'm running out of underwear and clean clothes to wear. I'll be staying up until 11:00 pm, as I plan to watch tonight's second episode of
Broadchurch. The show airs at 10:00 pm. Not a smart thing to do, given how little sleep I seem to be getting, but the show is worth it so far. Nifty, atmospheric, British murder mystery.
