Dave called HP for me tonight to try to get my laptop fixed (yes, we have been very slow at doing that, but I just got around to moving the essentials onto another hard drive just in case yesterday). HP told him that they have no record of us having purchased the three year accidental damage coverage that we payed over $300 for. Dave then proceeded to give the guy on the other end of the phone the serial number for the coverage and the guy told him that their database is down so they have no way of verifying that we really purchased it. The guy then told Dave to "call back after some time." Now Dave is attempting to use the online chat feature to see if he can get anywhere with that. If this does not work, we have decided that this is the last HP computer that we will buy.
