Time Bomb

I usually say Milo is wasted as a character in several ways over the series. Sometimes, it doesn't matter because his side of the plot is all around whodunnit, but now and then we get a book where something interesting is happening to him and Kellerman barely touches the issue. Along with Over the Edge, Time Bomb makes a fine example.

HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD!! )

I agree completely.

I had a lot of the same complaints about the book (plot that everyone seemed to be in on and the lack of follow-up with Rick).

:(

Oh well, I still enjoy his books overall. Just leaves me wishing for a bit more sometimes.

Time Bomb is one of my favorite of the Old School books(I usually divide them between before Bad Love and after Bad Love. I have noticed that more attention is paid to Milo's personal life in later novels- as gay rights have become more accepted, Kellerman is more Milo friendly.
And yes, the Colonel. I absolutely loathe him-as we are meant to. The plot twists were very believeable and I LOVED Issac!!!

Ike is sweet. Still, I kinda liked him better dead.

No, not me. I liked the plot in this one. As I said, I think he gives Milo more time as it gets more PC to be ok with gays. Therefore, I've noted the later books(post Bad Love) do have more on Milo and more on Milo and Rick. Milo's formidable detective skills are given much more play after Survival of the Fittest, too. Almost every novel after that mentions Milo's fantastic solve rate.

That is true, I noticed as well.
Am still waiting to read deception, hoping there's Milo there.
