Job Search Over
Well, it is officially over - I have a job offer. I am graduating on time, with a degree from the 5th best engineering school in the country, and I have a job. I am officially an adult. I am going to be working, barring any better offers still to possibly come, at Central Screw Products in Detroit. It is a place that specializes in mass-production and prototype machining for The Big Three. It pays well, although it is situated off of Mound between Highland Park and Warren (basically the ghetto). It sits back off the road in a nice industrial park, but the surrounding neighborhood is pretty gross. But, now I can get my car - probably going to come back with it after Easter - and start finding a place to live - thinking about Royal Oak - and stop worrying about finding a job and being able to support Lor and Tess. I am extremely excited because I get to graduate and stay in Michigan for a while. I look forward to being able to hang out on the weekends with friends without having to worry about homework or studying. Rest of my life, here I come.
Oh, and guess what?! Us bitches won our first broomball game. I assisted on Lor's goal and scored the game winner. Bob was great in net and Sara flew around the ice. And, who can forget the big man giving up the body to block shots at the end of the game, Jon. Time for playoffs, where we are gonna fuck some people up.
Oh, and one more thing. I will be in GB this weekend with Tess for Easter - so, if you want to see the dog or me, drop me a line on the cell and we'll try to figure something out.
