The pox!

My sister, M, has chicken pox. She's 16. She's miserable.

According to my mother, I never had the chicken pox. Which means I am extremely susceptible to it as an adult. Happy news! Luckily, I haven't been around my sister for the past few weeks so I probably missed the incubation phase, but this means that when my future children come down with it, so will Mommy!

In other news, I sent my dad the linkage to THHGTTG movie and the Marvin prototype and he was deeply disappointed. He ranted about the 'cuteness' of Marvin, same as pookha and I did. But he's holding out hope, God love 'im, as are we.

In other, other news, I am making a mix of all the music I listened to during my junior high and high school years in the 90s. I've made 3 CDs already, and I think at least 3 more are in the works. I have everything on here: Salt-n-Pepa "Let's Talk About Sex", Naughty By Nature "OPP", Mazzy Star, Boyz II Men, C+C Music Factory, Ace of Base, MILLI VANILLI.

Yes, Milli Vanilli. What? I loved them at the time; I was 11, I'm not ashamed. As I explained to Seth, the whole point of these CDs is not to portray my excellent taste in music, but to remind me of the good ol' days, back when I french-rolled my jeans ::gag:: and wore Hypercolor shirts, and those later days when an awesome weekend included pseudo-intellectualizing in coffee shops with a latte in front of me.

Of course, nostalgia and I can be a dangerous combination at times.

nostalgia, misc.
