Stuff & stuff.
Alright. So. A couple of weeks before last week, every time I went climbing I friggin' SUCKED BALLS. I could barely get up a 5.9 without having to stop a couple of times before getting all the way up. Even Claudia and Chris were like: Wtf happened? I have no clue. Maybe I wasn't feeling 100% into it, maybe it's because I've had this friggin' cough for almost a month, whatever.
Anyway, last week us and Josh went, and suddenly I was kicking the ever-loving SHIT out of the 5.10's. Wtf? Maybe I just needed a break? The week before I had absolutely no strength in my arms and it sucked. Then all of a sudden I was pulling shit I didn't think I should even attempt. It was as though suddenly I had my confidence back, lol. WEIRD.
After that day, Josh and I stopped by Atmosphere to check out their climbing equipment and I scored a friggin' harness for $55!! It said $59.99 on the tag which is still a fantastic price for this specific one, but when she rang it up, it came up at $49.99! STEAL. It's pretty girly looking...
... but hey, it's fine to start off with. I'm just irritated as hell that my chalk bag no longer matches, lmao. Poor little red chalk bag. It's also a really different buckle-up system than I'm used to, so I've gotta get Chris to show me how to hook it up and not die off the wall. ;) I absolutely LOVE how much more comfortable the damn thing is, too. Holy crap. Much better than that seat-belt contraption they use at the TCA hahaha. Next up: Finding the right pair of shoes! Atmosphere's selection blows, so we're sticking to MEC with that one. I saw some cute ones I liked the last time I was there, but I didn't try any on since I had no intention of buying at the time. I'm purchasing another month since ours runs out on Friday... so that gives me another month of shoe rentals and time to snag up my own pair. Fun note: You're supposed to wear them without socks. I think you can guess why people always wear socks when they're using rental shoes. Ewwwwwww.
SO. I got my AWOLNATION tickets! YAY! Bhavna, Claudia and myself are definitely going. I bought four anyway because I figured we'd sucker dear Christopher into coming with us. Diane wants to go as well, and I think Jaqueline does as well. So it should be a good time! It's at the Sound Academy, but meh. Who cares. Maybe I'll pop my crowd-surfing cherry during 'Soul Wars'? Hmmmm....
So stoked. I even purchased a 'Blame it on my ADD' shirt from the website, haha. OBSESSED. October's going to RULE. Awol show, NEW EVANESCENCE ALBUM! UHHH HELL YEAH! I heard a snippet of the new single yesterday DROOOOOOL. She needs to release it like, NOW!
Diane is hilarious. We were supposed to go see 100 Monkeys (Yanno, Jackson Rathbone's band?) last night... which was the 11th.... turns out the show was actually on the 9th! They printed down the wrong date and had the wrong date down on the website so she was PISSED! I think they agreed to refund her the money though, so that's good. Instead we met up with Donovan and Mike at O'Grady's (Oh god their food is so fantastic!) and after climbing Chris showed up for a couple. It was hilarious, the stories Donovan was telling us about pot. Oh man.
The other night I went over to Bhavna's place and we swam in her pool for a bit with her brother Amit. Kid is hilarious ahaha. "ARE YOU DABUNG ENOUGH?!?!!?!?!?"
Friday we're heading up to the trailer. STOOOOOOOKED! There's like, 14 of us going up, lol. Kind of insane. As it stands right now, there are 5 friggin' cars, lol. I'm trying to get people to consolidate at least two so that we only have 4. At least then we can park one behind the trailer and just have 3 visible that way it's not so bad. Oh man. I can't wait to go swimming again. B-Rad may come which would be neat. Haven't seen him for a while, haha.
Other than that, not much else to write about. OOOOO LOOK! TWO NEW ENTRIES WITHIN A FEW DAYS! I'm getting pretty god at this. ;)
