Three options, one summer...

As many of you know, I've been planning on driving for my undergrad universities storm chase class this June.  More recently, it's come up that I'll be 24 (not 25 or older) at the time of the chase...which means if the vans are rented, I can't be a driver since the school doesn't want to shell out the extra $ for an "underage" driver.  So, the way around this is to get me on university payroll there so I can drive one of the school's vans.  Sounds simple, right?  But...this is a university, so there's plenty of foot dragging going on with the administration and it's been more than a month that they've been trying to get me to be allowed to drive.

In the meantime, two other opportunities for the summer have come up: participating in the VORTEX II field campaign, and a workshop in Boulder, CO which sounds really cool!  Unfortunately, all three things are at the same time!  I really want to drive for Oswego, and feel obligated to drive if I am approved by the administration there (especially since they tried so hard to get me permission to drive).  But...the application for the workshop is due March 9, and I won't hear back about being a driver until around March 15.  In terms of VORTEX II, I'd be out twice as long as I would be for the other two opportunities (~May 15 - June 15), and it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.  But...it'd be one month away from my cat, friends, garden, etc.  I've had a REALLY hard time deciding what I want to do if I can't drive for the storm chase class!  If I want to go to the workshop, I need to act now!  I just may have to withdraw my application if I can drive for that class.

Thankfully, my advisor has been really supportive about all three of these options and sees how each would be good for me.  I 'm afraid, though,  that I'll go from three options to zero if I don't play my cards right.  What should I do?
