Actually, as far as I remember, Banner really isn't able to have sex with Betty in the 2008 film. They make an attempt, but before anything really happens, his heart rate spikes too quickly and they stop before he transforms (I think that was also the case in much of comics canon)
So, yeah. :)
I am amused by the "Hawkeye spends almost all his time hiding out in the vent systems on the Helicarrier/SHIELD HQ/Stark Tower" bit of fanon however.
Oh, interesting! I did not remember that, though I really did not watch the movie that closely. I can see how it makes more sense that it's a heart rate spike rather than an anger-spike.
I am also amused by that Hawkeye fanon! I understand the up in the rafters parts, but, HVAC systems are possibly a little more....intense? Or crazypants?
Thank you for the canon back-up. So it's not an anger thing, but rather a heart rate/adrenalin thing that triggers the change? That does put it all in context.
Also, yes to the Hawkeye stuff. Don't forget the bit about him making nests everywhere high up, too. Very entertaining.
You know, I can understand, based on The Avengers movie alone, that he might prefer to be high up when he's working, but a nest? Esp out of clothes? For reals, people?!?!
Oh lord yes. Meanwhile, I keep seeing random Sentinel/Avengers fusions over on AO3...but I've been running away too quickly to find out which Avengers is supposed to be the Guide. :)
