If only I had fluctuating breasts?

Do any of you have weight that fluctuates daily? Like, noticeably daily? I've been weighing myself regularly as I'm trying to be more mindful about both what I'm eating and how much I'm exercising and what it does to my body (and it's especially hard for me to get a handle on in the winter) and my weight apparently fluctuates crazily and so isn't really that helpful of an indicator of what's going on with my body. (I mean, unless fluctuating is some sort of indicator?) I mean, seriously, a five pound difference between yesterday and the day before? Conclusion: scales do not help me that much!

I got a new bra yesterday (buy one, get one free at Macy's online!) Generally I don't.....buy bras, which is a weird thing to say, but if you had my boobs, you'd understand (and maybe you already do understand.) Bras don't tend to fit me. Like, ever. Bras that are supposedly my size are even less likely to fit. My boobs are small and I like them, and I like that I went bra-less for most of high school and college, but at this point in my fashion-life, I'm wearing a lot of dress shirts for work, and also, my casual style has bent more toward the pretty and femmey, so, I need bras to make those looks work.

My bra collection, before the shopping spree at Macy's, looks something like this: One probably-teen-intended all-material-no padding-no-wire bra from the clearance rack at Gap Body 8 years ago; 3 cotton cross-between-a-sports-bra-and-a-shelf bras from....at least 7 years ago; 2 cotton underwire and two shaped-but-not-padded-cup racer back bras that used to belong to my wife when she was in high school (these are my favorite and fit the best, I have NO IDEA why, my wife was not even my size now when she was in high school); and the two smartwool hyper-sports bras I bought for our hiking trip to Northern Canada.

Padded bras almost universally have this space between my boob and the cup (see the tweet about guacamole packets.) Underwire bras have too much cup material so they get all...pouchy. No-wire bras (like teen training bras, srsly) usually fit size-appropriately, but they make my boobs look triangular and pointy, and sports-bra/shelf-bras either entirely flatten my chest (great if I decide to crossdress) or ride up so the elastic ends up nipple-height. Hi.

The bra I'm wearing now is my very first "t-shirt" bra - it's actually my supposed size, and honestly it's a little tight around my chest, but I know if I'd gotten the size up, the cups wouldn't have arranged appropriately. There's still a small space between boob and bra, but not so much that I feel like I could drop something down there, and the cup is nicely made so it's boob-curve shaped and not pointy or pouchy. So, yay Macy's!

Anyway, I'm over-sharing this morning because I really like my boobs but I really hate how hard it is to find lingerie necessities that do what I want AND fit my body. Also, if you have old bras from high school that you're hanging on to and want to get rid of, they'll probably fit me, so send them my way!
