"That sounds more like a plan F, doesn't it?"

Are any of you playing with the You Will Know the Truth clues for Battlestar Galatica? To be honest, piecing together clues like this drives me crazy and is never as satisfying as having the actual answer - I think it's the same reason why I don't have the patience for Pete Wentz shenanigans, no matter how impressive in scope and content, including the ones currently in place that may or may not be about The Godfather. I benefit from the outcome of games like this, but I don't have the crossword puzzle brain to try to figure out the mystery.

The truth is, I shouldn't even be on the BSG website, since I haven't seen the last four episodes before the hiatus. I've been meaning to catch up, but as much as I love Starbuck beyond all measure and am consistently impressed with the storytelling skill of Ron Moore, BSG is motherfucking bleak and I need to be in the right mood to watch it without wanting to slit my wrists in the middle of an episode.

In the opposite direction, where television is like cotton candy, I somehow managed to lose part of this evening to The Return, parts 1 and 2 of SGA season three, that horrible fluffy episode that seems, plot-wise at least, like it was written by interns playing round-robin, but somehow still manages to be full of O'Neill quips and Farscape-like banter about plans.

I had really smart things to say this morning about what I consider "random" pairings in fanfic and how we construct stories out of implied predefined relationships, but most of them were lost to the frustration of a long, short-staffed day at work and a distinct lack of coffee. And a few minutes ago I did a 180 at the bottom of my street thanks to black ice, the inevitable conclusion to a rainy day in the middle of winter, so I'm enjoying being shocked dumb at the surprise of facing one way and suddenly spinning, as if guided my some magical force (physics!) to be facing exactly the opposite way.

coffee on demand, you can stay at my place, that fandom about hair and geek heros
