Some kind of unstoppable moron

I dreamed that I was making salsa last night, which, on one hand, isn't all that strange, because I have a bunch of tomatoes and jalapenos from the garden that would make a great salsa, but, on the other hand - why am I dreaming about cooking?

Our next story for doortodiscover has been posted. It's written by the lovely greendreaming and it's amazing. I love this universe we're creating!

My subject line is from an extremely silly episode of Friends where Ross accidentally messes up things with Phoebe and Mike - and then keeps making things worse. Sometimes I feel like I'm stumbling through weeks that way, unstoppably moronic.

I was witness to a completely fantastic episode of NCIS, Last Man Standing The new team! Double-deception! Anthony Lapaglia's son looks just like him! And Agent Lee OMG. The whole episode was really quite well done, and I wonder if they maybe got new writers, because, these writers actually know how to write! Aside from the Audience Is Stupid black-and-white flashback of Agent Lee committing all the crimes we'd seen unsolved in the episode at the end, it was a really smart and engaging episode.

I'm watching both season four and season five of Stargate Atlantisconcurrently, which is turning out to be confusing, especially with the Rodney/Keller plot. In both seasons, the past few episodes have been all about Rodney, and that the way I like it. I have so many things to say about Quarantine, Trio, The Shrine and First Contact I suspect they might each need their own post.

I've been rewatching Alias as I'm between TV-on-DVD shows to watch. (There's Twin Peaks, but I can't watch it too late at night without getting freaked out. Honestly, I watched the pilot in the middle of the day and got freaked out. I'm considering both Heroes and the second season of Supernatural but neither has come into the library yet.) While we were watching Syd and Anna Espinoza battle in a church in Madrid, a member of my household, in momentary confusion about which show we were actually watching, said, "If Syd were a better slayer, she'd have known Anna was behind her."

The same person was deeply shocked after I pointed out that the pilot in Flightplan (Sean Bean) was the same actor who played Boromir, and said, after much consideration, "He looks different without long hair....and armor....and the Horn of Gondor."

what's my counter mission?, fantastic!, i'm here to be told, that fandom about hair and geek heros, second one's for bastard, the argonath, the wreck and not the story of the wreck
