Cross my heart, smack me dead, stick a lobster on my head

I watched several hours of SG-1 on Sci Fi (and somehow managed to catch the two-parter that I've seen three times despite only having ever seen about five other episodes of the show,) two episodes of Babylon 5 which had Sinclair being insufferable and not a single second of Delenn, not even in the background, and finally, I settled down with Thanks for Sharing from Farscape season three and OMG I am in love this show.

I love this show, because its rich and complex and raunchy and painful and manages these perfect moments of hilarity that have me laughing so hard I have to pause the DVD to pull myself together. Crichton says, "Hello morons!" to this episode's bad guys and he tells Stark to work now and freak later and Stark agrees very reasonably and then asks "How much later?" Crichton banters with his twin and I wonder if they'll both have Scorpius in their head. Crais and Aeryn display just how much chemistry you can pack into one scene and Aeryn has some back story with her mother that you just know is going to turn out very, very badly when they inevitably meet again. Stark goes even crazier and there's something perfect about the man with half a face having an obsession with duality that goes from "My side! Your side!" to "Splicing! Fixing! Fixing! Splicing!" Crichton puts a space lobster on his head and stops in the middle of "You can't handle the truth!" and looks away because it's just too much, even for him.

This episode felt like the beginning of a new season, as though Zhaan's final three episodes were actually the end of season two and season three actually begins with return of Talyn and Crais and with the advent of two Crichtons, which, ok, before I get all wavy handed and incoherent, let me just say how this show always manages to surprise me, always takes this route that I never, ever could have expected and they make genius out of it. They blindside you with these character arcs and before you know it, you're like, "Ok, two Crichtons!" and then you start wondering how much this is going to hurt later.

Crichton takes Winona and the notebook and pen with him onto Talyn and he's the one with Aeryn and the other Crichton doesn't know how he feels about that because it's him but not him and there are TWO CHRICHTONS and Xhalax Sun looks spookily like her daughter, especially when they're both being steely and determined and THERE ARE TWO CHRICTONS. I just.

*wavy hands*, i apologize for my strengths
