1. The above quote from one of my co-workers, who has had a series of bad hair experiences of late. The vampire of which she speaks is someone she often sees exiting an overly funky hairdressers (which is pretty much the exact antithesis of her personal style) and getting on her bus. I think she has a pretty good chance with him, honestly, whether or not he still has the pink mohawk.
2. I started reading Special Topics in Calamity Physics last night, and the introduction has so many mid-sentence asides and parenthetical explanations that it's like reading a Television Without Pity recap of Farscape.
