Not everything is about kissing

I'm watching When She Was Bad, from Buffy, because some mornings, I really wish I could work out my issues with a sledgehammer.

I've been watching more of Series One of Doctor Who, and I'm realizing that, for all of my love of David Tennant, there are some moments when I prefer Christopher Eccleston's version of the Doctor, that brooding, melancholy, soulful look to huge grin in half a second Doctor, the one who looks at Rose with astonishment in World War Three when she trusts him completely. He says, "You don't even know what it is. You'd just let me." And the way he stares at her, like he's trying to see inside of her, to find where all that trust could possibly come from.

Today is going to be a day of epic movie watching to spur on the epic cleaning that needs to be done so that the house no longer looks like wild animals tore through it and tried on all my clothes on their way.

It's also another day of unseasonable warmth for January, and so I'm going to take a long walk by the river and bring my camera.

fantastic!, grind our enemies into talcum powder
