retail therapy and fantasies about fictional characters: just another day around here
1. The ceiling in my kitchen is leaking. Again. Despite the fact that roofers spent two weeks supposedly repairing the problem last spring.
2. I just bought three pairs of pants and a chair. The pants and the chair are unrelated, besides the fact that I got them all in the same block of shops. And I almost bought a fun spring dress for a certain wedding I'm going to in June, but they didn't have my size. The search continues. Also, I'm considering placing my first order with Title Nine. Dresses with built-in bras and hidden pockets! Skorts!

1. Irina Derevko from Alias. Oh my god, this woman is hot. Devious, morally ambiguous, and incredibly, astoundingly hot.
2. Trinity from The Matrix. Kickass. Defiant. Loyal. Confidant. Really, really, really, hot.
3. Kara Thrace from Battlestar Galactica. I have to admit, I'd much prefer viper-pilot Starbuck to settled down with Anders on New Caprica Kara, but still.
4. Faith from Buffy. OMG Faith. I have lusted after Faith from the very first episode, and I loved her even more after season seven. So, yes.
5. Sara Sidle from CSI. Look, I know she's in love wtih Grissom. But I'm not talking romance here.
6. Olivia Benson from SVU. For a show that doesn't give us much in the way of character backstory, Olivia sure has personality. Also, she's beautiful whether she's in jeans and a t-shirt or an evening gown.
7. CJ from The West Wing. Although I'd probably fall completely in love with her, so even just the one night would be ill-advised.
8. Maybe, maybe Magneto. Problems: Sociopath. Also, I really think he reads as gay.
9. Hmmmm. Maybe Jean Grey? I saw an ad for X3 on the bus (I mean, the ad was on the side of the bus) and Jean looked fantastic and a little scary. I tend to think of Jean more in the "I'd like to know her" category, although I have no doubt she'd be irresistible in bed.
10. Honorable mentions go to: So, I kind of have a crush on Jack from Love the Hard Way, and also on Steven from Dummy. And then there's Clarice Starling (Problem: Um, Lecter?), Dana Scully (As hot as Scully is, I think I'd rather go out to dinner with her.), Mary Russell (Again, tea might be better, because Russell just doesn't read as sexy for me. Sensual, yes, but not a lot of lust there.), and Michael Vaughn (I KNOW! I feel like a teenager.) Wow, that's a lot of characters. And I still feel like I'm leaving someone off...
