A note to Erik Lensherr, after reading Excalibur #10
No real spoilers, unless you haven't been reading for months, since nothing has happened for the last three issues:
Dear Magneto,
You break my heart.
I wish you could believe it possible that you could confront tragedy and still have hope. I want that for you so desperately. I want you to believe that you deserve happiness, and that making mistakes, even the worst ones driven by selfishness and despair, does not mean you must thereafter be lost in darkness. I want you to believe that you have it in you to be a leader and a teacher to the next generation. Most of all, I want you to accept the possibility that Charles will always love you, no matter what you've done, or how lost you think you are.
Take off the helmet, and put away the purple cloak.
