Yesterday I found Owen standing up to our bookcase. How could that be? Thinking somehow it couldn't be true I promptly put him back on his belly. Then to his squealing delight he did it again...and again...and again. Not even seven months old. I know not unheard of, but this changes things in our little world a little sooner than expected. I had told Nicholas that Owen would get big enough to play ball with him. So when he saw me making a big fuss over this advancement Nicholas asked me if he could take Owen up to the school to play football. heehee.
Several days ago we had pizza from Papa Murphy's Take and Bake. Brad and Nicholas went to pick it up. As Brad pulled onto Orchard Dr. Nicholas said, "Dad the pizza fell off the roof." Horror of all horrors Brad saw no pizza next to him in the car, but saw that it safely landed in the turn lane. If he could quickly scoop it up before the turn lane was in use it may be saved, he thought. It landed right side up with toppings still intact...and no sign of the plastic wrap. Dinner was saved. Brad thought it was a pizza miracle...a miracle right up there with the birth of our children.
My student loans are now paid in full. Hooray!!!
My mom threw herself a wonderful birthday lunch. I am so grateful for her and the example she is to me. It was fun to be together with my mom and sisters, something I feel like I could use a lot more of. Of course, the food was deelish as well. Thanks mom!
