I promise to be the most inconsistent contributor to the advent. But I decided some would be more fun than none... for me anyway. I am going to write about random Christmas memories. I will also add the disclaimer that my memories may be more colorful than what really happened.
In honor of my sister S, whose birthday was yesterday, I will start. My sister S took me to an upstairs bedroom in our home in Pasco WA, one with really bright red and/or pink shag carpet as I remember. She shut the door behind us and told me the real Santa Claus died years earlier getting stuck in a chimney. Of course I was skeptical wondering if she was telling the truth until Christmas morning when we got Fashion Plates. I don't even know if they were mine or if Santa brought them to somebody else. All I know is I thought only Santa could have brought them. Rubbing that black crayon back and forth over those 1970's fashion plates, creating the designs of my dreams. Very cool believe me. Needless to say, that is how I came to know there is a Santa!
