You know your 3 year old is past ready to be toilet trained not only because he is 3, but because he has such control that he can pee in small increments to get as many treats as possible. Nicholas has really pysched me out on the toilet training thing. He went for several days around his 2nd birthday without much coaxing. I was thinking sheesh, why does everybody moan about this. That was easy. Then he would have nothing to do with the potty. Occassionally he would go to get some bribe and then I would get tired of cleaning up messes and diapers returned. I tried to forget about it for several months but every time I would change his diaper I would be filled with disgust for all the obvious reasons. Nicholas turned 3 at the end of August. Since then I have picked up my efforts again. He ignores me. So this morning I just put underwear on him instead of his diaper and said nothing. He has gone in the toilet all day. Not one accident. In fact, after lunch he went one drop at a time to get maximum rewards. Could this be the end?
