"I'm very sorry that I was offered a lift, dad, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."

Can somebody explain to me why my Dad seems so irritated that I was offered a lift? Here's vaguely how the conversation went:

"Scott's offered me a lift home from school after the exam."
"We need to go into Wokingham anyway to pay in a cheque and get your uniform from work."
"Ok, but just so you know, my uniform might not be in because I had a different uniform from the cashiers cos I'm produce, and my boss is away for the week so I wouldn't know who to talk to about it."
"[near shouting] For goodness sake, there's other people you can talk to about it, you just can't be bothered."
"So...shall I say yes or no to Scott?"
"I DON'T CARE!"
"..."

Wish I understood my Dad more. He's started ranting at my sister now too, simply because the school doesn't let her go into a certain part of it where there's exams going on, which is so obviously her fault .

zoe, life, dad, sister, exams, lifts
