Wow. Just...wow. This expo was awesome. So was VGL.
I got up at 6:15 for the expo on saturday morning. The earliest I've got up in ages, but hell, it was worth it. I got all my stuff together and got to the station by 7. The whole load of us proceeded to go totally mental and fangirly (I was the only boy there, and it's a well-known fact that I'm a fangirl trapped in a man's body anyway). I shared around my pocky, which had decided to fuse itself together into one huge uber-pocky.
When we got there, we started the huge queue for tickets. It was pretty uneventful, except for a few people fangirling over emma/tamaki. Then, we headed outside and got the Ouran High School Host Party going. There wasn't much actual hosting, it was more of a normal tea party with hosts, but it had cake which was the most important thing. Rosie did an awesome job of getting a cake printed with Ouran icing.
Then Dagger txted to say she'd arrived - I grabbed the last bit of cake for her, and headed over to meet her. At this point, things become a bit more of a blur of awesomeness and photos. Seriously, every 10 steps we took, a load of people would want photos. It made me feel great that we were all so loved by people. The Blue Badger probably played a large part in our popularity - congrats to Azi and Dagger's dad for making it.
At 2:30 we did the Hare Hare Yukai. There was approx 30 of us doing the dance, and it's the first time I'd done it infront of other people. SO MUCH FUN! I want to find someone with a video of it.
At 3:30 we went and watched the masquerade. They were all so good! The Phoenix Wright group won the ubi-soft prize, which they thoroughly deserved.
On the sunday, we did more stuff in the expo itself, wheras on the saturday we mainly stayed outside, and I hung around with Rosie and Emma, since Dagger had gone home (I miiiiiiiiissed you!). I bought a Death Note, which already has 2 names in it, both of whom were asking for it.
Then there's VGL. Again, an awesome time. It was so great to see Lulie and Tommy again. And I suppose it was good seeing sophie too... :P. We missed signing up for the cosplay competition, but we got to go onstage anyway. The actual show was better than last year. They took out things like advent rising and headhunter, replacing them with things like Bioshock. The only one I really didn't enjoy was Outrun, which lasted about 3 times the length of any of the other segments of the show, and was rather repetitive. I kinda phased out for most of that song.
One-Winged Angel was awesome - I enjoyed that more than I did last year, I think. Me and Dagger got rather excited, and began chanting the latin rather loudly. Nothing like singing about the harbinger of the destruction of the world to get you hyper. It was just SO GREAT!
I can't wait to see everyone again! Thanks for making it such fun!
