Author's Notes: In which we are reintroduced to Gerald and Harriet and other members of the Retro-Torchwood gang. To those of you new to the crazy thrill-ride that is Retro-Torchwood, Gerald and Harriet appear (briefly) onscreen in the Torchwood S2 episode "To The Last Man", while the rest are drawn from the dubiously-canonical fluff that appeared on the BBC TW website back when the episode aired, those many moons ago. Although it is fair to say that I have...fleshed them all out a bit. So yes, unashamed Gerald/Harriet shipping. And bonus points to anyone identifying the classic Who story and the famous "real life" WW1-related paranormal case obliquely referenced by Lydia and Harriet near the end of the chapter...
