IMOff: We got the message.

Jan 20, 2006 03:03

Well, the site's very bland, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

But the first seed of Uri and my latest collaboration efforts is now available.

IMOff allows you to send a message to a user who's currently offline, and it will be delivered to them via AOL Instant Messenger when they sign on. It's a very interesting idea, and one I think many will find useful.

You can check it out, download, and test here: http://www.imoffline.com

The software's in beta, since we've given the tires a pretty good kick but it was a limited round of testing, but both of us would be very interested to know what you think.

Following this project up will be a site I've had on the back burner for ages. Some of you may remember a posting from 2004 about this - well, we're starting prep work for it to be coded right this time, and launch later this winter.
