OMG I am shaking! My heart is pounding! I can't believe what I just wrote. My assignment this week was to take my "Best Summer Job" ever exercise and write an ending for it...a tragic ending. It is such a light hearted piece, try to turn the story around, was my instructors challenge to me. So what could be the worse possible thing that could happen to a 17 year old lifeguard who has just had the the best summer ever....a date rape. I didn't know I had it in me. I am surprised at my physical reaction when writing this. I don't know how I am ever going to read it out loud next week in class.
