Madrigal event

Had a good time at the Madrigal event. Didn't get to do nearly enough fighting, and I think I was fighting off a cold or something because I randomly fell over early both nights ('early' being 2AM and 1AM respectively), which was annoying to me. Weather was pretty awful, basically various forms of slush fell from the sky from Saturday afternoon all the way through game end, but we (and the PCs) persevered through it.

- Getting to play the High Inquisitor when she wasn't the high Inquisitor. Weird mental shift in how I was playing the character, and had some really great discussions with PCs that I don't think I'd exchanged more than 2 words with before.

- listening to the happy shrieks coming from the front of the main hall where the PCs were (I gathered) sledding down the little hill. And apparently having snow-ball fights.

- hooking some anti-Malekyrg mods, and going, "Oh, can any of you cure death?" and having four or five PCs raise their hands, and going, "Oh good, that might be important."

- poor Marie forgetting the password she'd made up herself, and then offering to damage herself using spells to prove she wasn't a nightmare construct.

- coming in to hook the 'rescue Reagan' mod and finding a PC already attempting to find Reagan on his own. Awww.

- Actually running back to monster camp, throwing on makeup, and then back up to Roskin for the undead/Malekyrg fight because I hadn't hit anything yet all weekend and was determined to hit *some* PCs.

- very sad RP with a PC and a long-absent family member

- watching the looks on PCs' faces when we ran through the list of candidates.

- wandering into town Sunday morning with a giant web on my face and wondering if I was going to get jumped

- Finally got to do some extended fighting Sunday morning! Ha! Was fun, even if I was advised to fight with not-a-polearm after I ended up in the inside group.

Also, love our PCs. A couple groups of them, upon my begging for help, grabbed trashbags and did the thoroughly awful job of packet-sweeping in the cold and wet after the game so staff wouldn't get stuck with the job.

larp, weather, madrigal
