1) WHY DID NO ONE QUESTION ALL OF THE DAMN VOTES FOR MAURA? Seriously, people.
2) Three people have outright mentioned/hinted that they received gifts. But they've also all mentioned they got the gift of seeing. Isn't it a bit... weird, that ALL three gifts were seeing? I'm not saying it's impossible. It just seems odd.
3) Reid, why did you say you didn't think I'd been turned? And why were you ok with dying today? :-(
Really, it was mostly number 1. Seriously, people? Seriously?
Uh, people did question it. Like Lucifer here, which you responded to and I responded to. And, honestly? It's cruel, but a 1:1 trade helps us more than the assassins. Sure, I suppose she could have been vigilanted, but what if we'd lynched an innocent in her place? Same 1:1 trade. Plus, as I said in my response, she could have been sacrificed just because she was looking obvious and it would risk exposing more of them to scrutiny to protect her, regardless of a potential role.
I only saw two. Three is pushing the credibility a bit if the gift is randomized. (It is, isn't it?)
Ah, okay. I'm the type to not take potential roles into account for the most part, as it often leads to too much confusion and second guessing, so I wasn't particularly caring that it seemed too "easy". But as I have also been silenced and know how frustrating it can be, I can well understand why you felt the need to express that sentiment as soon as you could. :D
I see your point in the ratio being equalized, but as the assassins really had the numbers to 'spare,' almost, at this point, I'd almost argue that it didn't help anyone.
We're down to a gap of four now, and assuming the assassins manage to kill in the night ... yeah, things aren't looking too good.
Oh, as I discussed with OSG earlier ((and am too lazy to find atm, sorry)), I agree that the situation is dire. Few people are talking and the same ideas get thrown out over and over. This will not help us.
However, as I said above, let's say we decided to not lynch Maura so that she could be vigilanted tonight, in case she was the bomb. Let's say people decided to go with OSG's "see" and lynch you instead. You claim you are innocent. That would still be the trade of an innocent to an assassin. I don't think that situation is any better than the one we are in now.
All we can do is continue to discuss and try to catch assassins. Hopefully we'll be able to glean enough information from assassins we catch to snowball into catching more. Discussion is key, as it always is.
But at least with lynching a possible innocent, you know who you're removing. There's a reason for them being on the chopping block (whether it's a solid reason or a not-so-solid reason could be open for argument). They have a chance to make defenses for themselves, to argue their sides, etc.
You know you're not possibly lynching the Seer - or someone who could be vouched for - because, obviously, the Seer would come out if they were in danger of death (I'm assuming if it was that dire) and masons/bffs/those who've 'seen' others/etc. would attempt to steer things away from some.
With the random aspect of the Bomb removing an innocent, any of these are open, and no defenses are capable of being made.
It's a little more .. chaotic. Risky.
Seems reasonable to rather be safe - execute someone under suspicion of guilt but NOT under suspicion of Bomb - than allow a possible Bomb to remove an innocent.
I've never been a fan of this argument, so we're likely never to see eye to eye. First of all, there are a bunch of assassins who are "obviously" assassins but who are not the bomb. Should we not lynch any of them because of their potential roles? I've seen it where an "obvious" assassin ended up being the dark knight. If the vigilante hadn't been paying attention that night, and we'd waited on her lynching, she could have converted someone. We didn't wait, we lynched her, and it worked to our benefit
( ... )
The following things made me go "WTF" today:

I looked at the role list, and it looks like the role could be randomized. Maybe we just got lucky?

But yes, unfortunately, it is too late in regards to the events surrounding this Maura.
